A Message from the UW ROTC
Professor of Military Science - LTC Brent Reinhardt
Greetings from sunny and warm Laramie, WY and the University of Wyoming!
The Alumni Reunion scheduled for 12 July 2008 has been rescheduled to 29 and 30 August. This will coincide with the Medicine Bow Hike and opening football game for the Wyoming Cowboys against Ohio University.
We need your support to round up your peers/friends who are not CBAA members and ask them to join - $30/year or $300 for a lifetime membership. At our recent board meeting we discussed how we can continue to grow and continue to support one of the best ROTC programs in the nations. We will share this information at the reunion.
A few other dates and info –
Friday 29 August - Medicine Bow Hike - all alumni invited to go with the entire Cowboy BN and hike to 10000 feet. If you like you could even stay in the parking lot and assist in the grilling.
Saturday 6 September - FOOTBALL versus USAF - Military Day - games starts at 1:30 pm. Tailgate/Cook-Out at WYO Hall beginning at 1130. Bring your friends and family. We will get some complimentary tickets also - if you'd like to get on the list - email/call Bev.
Your CBAA contributions have been appreciated this year - 10 Miler team was #2 out of 58 teams in Oct 2007, and the Bataan Team won the ROTC division – NATIONAL CHAMPS - in record time 5:51 (26.2 miles in uniform with a 35lb ruck), and two, $250 scholarships to two very deserving cadets – Riley Emter from Sheridan, WY and Barbara Cook from Fort Collins, CO
In SY-07-08 we commissioned 12 cadets – and met our mission.

This annual event memorializes the sacrifices and endurance of the Americans and their Philippine allies who died and suffered during this march to prison camps during the early days of World War II.
